AN ANGRY POST

There seriously is nothing more irritating than people who thinks the world of themselves so much that they feel they have the need to trample on others. I’ve no issues with people who wants to be high and mighty but please keep it to yourself.

Our daughter is well taken care of, well fed, she is a good little gal that SLEEPS on her OWN in her OWN room and her OWN bed (please understand that most babies do not do that) and drops off to dreamland by 9pm latest every night all the way until 6am in the morning. We’re proud of that and many other stuff including how she doesn’t cry at all for her jab today.

Therefore it pisses me greatly when people are dismissing things and jumping to their own bloody conclusions and accusing us of being irresponsible parents. Calling my house a place full of danger zones is bloody insulting to house proud people like us. So asshole go find yourself another shithole to dump your crap. I know you’re going to target us for sure on CNY. I shall ignore you. And ignoring doesn’t mean I don’t have guts to throw your crap back into your face. It juz means that I’ve manners and I refused to shame my family. Also letting you know that though you don’t understand respect, I do.

ONWARD TO 4 MONTHS

She’s rolling on the living room floor as I’m typing this. And THAT is an achievement in itself coz she’s demanding so much of my attention these days, it’s hard to do anything at all.

She’s this cute little naughty mess that I still can’t believe came out of me. Yes it’s almost 4 months and I still can’t believe I’m a mother sometimes. Especially when she’s asleep at night. Oh those few hours of freedom for the husband and me, it’s like back to the 2 of us again.

So, I was really asking for too much. 5 minutes of rolling around by herself is really the max I guess coz she’s starting to scream out in anger now. Ok so there. Counting down to 4 months with my little monster.

MOTHERHOOD

Makes me realize I’ve so much love and patience I never knew I had in me.
Tires me out endlessly but I still crawl back to my baby when she cries for me.

THE NURSERY

I’ve been wanting to do up her nursery for the longest of times. So far it’s like bits of here and bits of there but never completed, never enough. Last weekend when the husband decided that he wanted to give me time to do my own stuff, I ended up in her room, putting stuff up.

It might not be obvious here but I’ve stuck on this $2 wallpaper from daiso on the cabinet top. It’s prettily green and checker and I can’t help admiring it myself. Well I think it’s not the perfect solution but at least this ugly office cabinet is getting a brand new life and is adjusting itself well enough in the room.

The above is kinda the ideal format for me. I’m wanting the pretty baby clothes to be hung up there but of coz they’re not up there yet. The only thing that’s up is the wooden frame for hanging the crochet dress and hat. This photo was taken juz before the things started dropping down – I used blue tacs and other stuff to put them up while I took this picture to get an idea of the overall look.

I’m liking it so far but the clothes rod might do with some changes coz the clothes are really heavy. Also, I’m wondering if I should buy her a play mat to lay on the floor or juz get our old rug in. Decisions, decisions and more ideas needed. The room is far from finish and will probably never be finished the rate I’m going but I’m enjoying the process and hopefully she’ll love it no matter what.

BEANIE UPDATES

Things have kinda settled down these days. She’s good sometimes, she’s bad at times – ok scratch that she’s bad alot of times. There’s times when nothing can hold her down not even good old paci. She’ll scream the roof down – ok maybe not as bad as others’ but who’s comparing? Yesterday we came to a conclusion. Those silly things called baby gyms that we didn’t wanna associate ourselves with might have to be our very best friends soon. She’s getting so curious and active, strapping her down to her rocker will not do anymore – in fact she’s now lying on the mat on the floor and kinda enjoying herself coz it’s a “different” spot – which makes me wonder also, how long can a baby gym hold her attention?

Baby stuff shopping tomorrow with the husband and the bean for our 9th year anniversary

Me: I think it’s a bit too early for you to think of diapers as comfortable.
The Husband: Oh yah! Sh!t!.

Me: Papa, if someone comes and tell you things about your wife, don’t ever assume the worst of me especially if it is a outsider.
The Husband: ok…but in xxx’s case he also listen to his wife mah but his wife is not the one that is correct.

My bean’s fave song at the moment. She smiles brightly when I sing it for her though it’s really hard to capture her smiles on camera. She froze and stops to kaypoh whenever she sees it in her face. I’m juz glad this picture isn’t blurred.

I used to really dislike Ernie when I was young coz of the way he always bully Bert but now that I’m viewing the videos again. It juz cracks me up totally. Not emotionally secured enough to speak to a banana indeed.

We’re were talking about something and the husband said I had no 矜持.

Me: Well if I had 矜持 then what’s that you’re feeding? (he was feeding the Bean)
The Husband: …
Me: Look at it this way, we’re all products of non 矜持.
The Husband: You’re very pessimistic to say that. You should say we’re all products of love.
Me: Then you’re juz not very realistic.

ALL IN A NIGHT’S WORK

Juz another day or rather night that Leanne is refusing to sleep. The husband and I have taken turns to pat till our arms were on the verge of breaking and still she wakes and fussed some more.

Giving up, the husband switches off nearly all the lights at home save for the kitchen and we both laid down on the sofa bed in the nursery while she whines in her cot.

The husband: let’s juz ignore her.

Me: ok.

And we started patting each other on the back to sleep while she cries in the background.

Me: this one’s a failure let’s make a new one.

The husband: ok. So we’re admitting she’s a failure.

Seconds later…

Me:Do you think she’s hungry?

The husband: …oh yah maybe…

Moments later while the husband is feeding her.

Me: so are we still making a new one?

The husband: I don’t think we can go through the entire 9 months again. Let’s give her another chance. See we’re giving another chance ah.

Me: yah let’s stick to this one.
